What we mean by Verified

Clear labels for dealers and private sellers, so you know who you are contacting.

Trust labels

Every advert shows whether it is from a Verified dealer, a Registered dealer, or a Private seller. Badges link here so the meaning stays consistent across the site.

Verified dealer

A dealership we have reviewed and approved for the Verified badge.

What we check

  • Business details match the trading name on the dealer profile
  • Contact phone and email are reachable for buyer enquiries
  • Stock is published through an authorised dealer account (manual, CSV or stock sync)
  • New, edited and feed-synced adverts are screened for obvious quality problems; blocking issues are taken down until reviewed

Registered dealer

A dealership with an active dealer account that has not completed verification yet.

What we check

  • Dealer account created and email confirmed
  • Business profile page is live
  • Can list vans and receive enquiries

Private seller

An individual selling their own van, not a motor trader.

What we check

  • Account email confirmed before publishing
  • Private adverts pass automated quality checks before they go live, and are reviewed by our team first when review-first is enabled
  • No dealer badge is shown on the advert

What Verified does not mean

A Verified badge is not a guarantee of the van’s mechanical condition, MOT status or title history. Always inspect the van, paperwork and V5C before you pay. We review dealer accounts for the Verified badge. Adverts are screened by automated checks when they are created, edited or synced from a dealer feed, and existing stock is re-scanned periodically; adverts with obvious problems (such as off-topic spam, links or missing photos) are taken down until reviewed. Automated checks only catch obvious problems, not every issue, so buyers still need to do their own due diligence.

What “Stock confirmed” means

Dealers who connect a stock feed send us their current inventory automatically. When a van appears in the dealer’s latest successful feed update, we show when that happened, for example “Stock confirmed today” or “Updated 20 mins ago”. It means the dealer’s stock feed confirmed the van was still being advertised within the last 72 hours at most. It is not a guarantee the van is unsold, so call or message the dealer before you travel.

Private seller adverts show when they were listed instead (for example “Listed 3 days ago”), because they are not updated by a stock feed.
