SWB Vans For Sale
0 listings available
SWB vans for sale are short wheelbase panel vans and crew vans for city drops and tight yards. The load bay is shorter than a long wheelbase van, so measure it before you buy racking. Payload still depends on the plated weight of that van.
SWB vans for sale on this page are short wheelbase commercials, the compact length used for city multi drop work, tight yards and parking that a long van will not accept. A short wheelbase does not by itself tell you the payload. That figure is what remains after the van, the driver and any racking, and it is printed on the plate rather than guessed from the badge. Panel vans, crew cabs and some tippers can all be an SWB when the advert or the variant says so, or when a known model length code maps to it. Listings without a confident length stay off this page. Dealers and private sellers across the UK are included, and you view the van at the address on the card. Compare load length, mileage and whether VAT is included before you travel.

Frequently Asked Questions
SWB means short wheelbase. It is the shortest length in a model range, so the load bay is shorter than the medium and long versions of the same van. Always measure the bay you actually need.
On many medium vans, L1 is the short wheelbase. The same code is not universal, so this page only uses L1 when that model is known to mean SWB. An unknown model with only L1 is left off.
Often it will not, at least not flat. Plasterboard and pipe usually want a longer bay. Check the stated load length on the advert before you assume the short van is enough.
The wheelbase does not set the licence. Gross weight does. A van over 3.5 tonnes can need a different entitlement even when it is short. Licence categories on GOV.UK
No. Crew vans, tippers and other bodies appear when the length signal is short wheelbase. The body type filter on this page narrows the list, and that narrower view is not a separate indexed URL.
